Comprehensive Modernization of the TauzenWet Veterinary Clinic for EDINA Vetcare Group
Once again, we partnered with EDINA Vetcare Group on the modernization of a veterinary facility. This time, our task was the thorough reconstruction and expansion of the 24-hour TauzenWet Clinic in Katowice.
The goal of the project was to raise the facility’s standard to meet the requirements of the dynamically growing EDINA network — from expanding hospital capabilities and improving patient and owner comfort to upgrading the clinic’s technical infrastructure.
Project Description
The goal of the modernization was to create a modern, functional medical space that meets the growing needs of patients and medical staff.
As part of the project, the hospital area was expanded and new specialized rooms were added, allowing the clinic to offer a wider range of services (including additional consultation rooms and an operating theatre).
A major emphasis was placed on comfort and safety.
A separate waiting area for cats was created to reduce stress, and a new reception desk was designed for improved workflow.
A key challenge was performing all construction work without interrupting the clinic’s 24/7 operations.
Through detailed scheduling and phasing, the clinic continued to serve patients continuously.
Thanks to close coordination with the TauzenWet staff and the use of temporary organizational solutions, even the most demanding construction and installation work was completed without disrupting daily veterinary activities.
Scope of work
Hospital Expansion
We carried out structural work expanding the clinic’s hospital space.
The newly built or adapted area made it possible to create more hospitalization units, providing better care for animals requiring observation or intensive treatment.
Three New Consultation Rooms
Within the existing layout, we created three additional consultation rooms.
Each was designed and equipped to the highest standards, ensuring veterinarians can work comfortably and clients feel at ease during visits.
Operating Room
A new operating room was built for minor surgeries and medical procedures.
It was equipped with all necessary tools and systems, enabling sterile and safe procedures without the need to use the main operating block.
Separate Waiting Area for Cats
We designed a quiet, cat-only waiting area separated from the dog and general zones.
This reduced stress for feline patients and improved their overall comfort and sense of safety.
New Reception Area
We rebuilt the main entrance area, creating a modern and functional reception.
The new layout ensures efficient client service and smooth patient flow, while the design reflects the professional image of the EDINA Vetcare Group.
HVAC and Lighting Modernization
A new HVAC system (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) was installed, tailored to the clinic’s medical requirements to ensure optimal air circulation throughout the year.
Lighting was upgraded to energy-efficient LED systems, improving both staff working conditions and patient comfort.
Medical Equipment Installation
We installed and connected new diagnostic and therapeutic equipment delivered to the clinic.
Our team ensured that every device was properly installed, configured, and adapted to the specific room layout (in terms of power supply, safety, and ergonomics).
Technical Installations Modernization
We conducted a complete overhaul of the building’s technical systems.
This included the modernization of electrical, sanitary, and plumbing systems, adaptation of ventilation to the new layout, and compliance with veterinary safety standards.
Comprehensive Interior Finishing
Our team carried out all finishing works — wall leveling, laying new floors and wall panels made of hygienic, easy-to-clean materials, painting, and suspended ceiling installation.
Every detail was carefully executed to ensure durability, cleanliness, and aesthetics.
New Door Joinery
We replaced all interior doors with specialized medical-grade models adapted for veterinary use.
The new doors are durable, easy to clean, and improve the acoustic insulation of rooms.
